Yamaha VMAX big bikes
The VMAX is powered with a new 1,679cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke DOHC 65 degree V4 engine, and as the company claims, is a showcase for some of Yamaha's engine and chassis technology, from engine control systems to the aluminium frame and the radial-mounted six-piston front brakes.
'While we do not expect sale of many units, we believe there is a set of enthusiasts that is interested in brands like the VMAX. This is like a dream bike for them, something like a Porsche in cars,' Tsuji said.
Meanwhile, the limited edition variants of the Fazer, FZ-16 and FZ-S bikes have been priced at Rs 66, 500, Rs 68,500 and Rs 73,500 respectively. The company would produce 3000 units of these limited edition bikes.
